About the host
Sophie has been guiding people through yoga for over nine years, creating spaces that feel deeply restorative, welcoming, and full of heart. As the owner of her own yoga and therapy studio in the stunning Saddleworth countryside, she has cultivated a teaching style that blends soulful movement, genuine connection, and a little everyday magic.
Having hosted more than ten retreats, Sophie believes there is nothing quite like stepping away from daily life to reconnect with yourself. Her retreats are more than just yoga holidays — they are a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, laugh freely, eat beautiful nourishing food, and rediscover the joy of simply being present.
Expect grounding yoga practices inspired by the rhythms of nature, meaningful conversations, cosy moments, music, poetry, folk stories, and spaces that leave you feeling lighter, calmer, and truly cared for. Sophie creates retreats where strangers quickly become friends and where every detail is thoughtfully designed to help you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
Inspired endlessly by the natural world, Sophie’s teaching follows the changing seasons and nature’s wisdom, inviting you to reconnect not only with yourself, but with the world around you. Her retreats are an invitation to rest, reset, and return home feeling renewed in every sense.
About the retreat
Our home for the weekend sits hidden among rolling green hills, tranquil woodlands, and meadows bursting with wildflowers. Wake to birdsong and sunlight spilling through the trees, then wander down to the river for a quiet moment by the water before morning yoga. Between practices, take time to explore the incredible surroundings, relax in the wood-fired sauna, or simply sink into the stillness of nature all around you.
Each day we’ll enjoy vibrant, seasonal meals — colourful, nourishing, and lovingly prepared — to refuel and restore. Evenings bring slower movement, gentle breathwork, and time to gather around wholesome food and good company as the day fades into golden light.
Whether you’re new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this retreat offers space to unwind and rediscover balance. Expect laughter, calm, and connection — with nature, with community, and with yourself.
